Setting Up Your Bet

Understanding the 14 Paylines

Donny Dough uses 14 fixed paylines running across the 5x4 grid. A win requires matching symbols to land on adjacent reels from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel — there's no pay-both-ways or cluster mechanic here, which keeps the base structure simple even though the payout maths on Multi-Dough wins gets more involved. Every bet you place is eligible for wins on all 14 lines simultaneously; you don't choose which lines to activate.

Reading the Symbols

The grid mixes standard low- and high-paying symbols with two special symbols that drive everything else in the game:

• FS scatter symbol — landing 3 at the same time triggers the Sticky Dough Bonus; landing 4 at the same time triggers the Strike Gold Bonus.

LOOTLINES™: The Core Mechanic

This is the part worth reading slowly, because it's the single biggest factor in how much any given win is actually worth. Multi-Dough symbols come in four types:

• Adding Multi-Dough — a fixed value: 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x or 10x.
• Revealing adding Multi-Dough — lands face-down with a question mark, then reveals one of: 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x or 500x.
• Multiplying Multi-Dough — a fixed multiplier: x2, x3, x4 or x5.
• Revealing multiplying Multi-Dough — lands face-down, then reveals one of: x6, x7, x8, x9, x10, x15, x20 or x25.

When a winning payline includes Multi-Dough symbols, their values apply from left to right along that line. Adding values are summed together as they're encountered; multiplying values multiply the running total built so far. There's one important exception: if a multiplying-type symbol is the very first Multi-Dough symbol in the sequence, it's treated as an adding value instead (since there's no running total yet for it to multiply).

Worked Example: Calculating a Win

Hacksaw Gaming's own documentation gives a clean example worth walking through directly. Say a winning payline includes four Multi-Dough symbols, in this left-to-right order: x3, 4x, 1x, x2.

• The first symbol, x3, lands in the first position, so — per the rule above — it's treated as an adding value: running total = 3.
• The second symbol, 4x, is an adding value: running total = 3 + 4 = 7.
• The third symbol, 1x, is also an adding value: running total = 7 + 1 = 8.
• The fourth symbol, x2, is a genuine multiplying value (it's not first in the sequence): running total = 8 × 2 = 16.

Final result: 16x your bet. Change the order of those same four symbols — say, put x2 first instead of last — and the total comes out differently, since a different symbol would be treated as the adding starting point. This is exactly why paying attention to symbol order (not just which symbols landed) matters once you understand LOOTLINES™.

Sticky Dough Bonus Rules

Landing 3 FS symbols simultaneously in the base game triggers Sticky Dough, awarding 10 free spins. The defining rule: every Multi-Dough symbol on the grid becomes sticky and stays in its position across spins until it forms part of a winning payline — at which point it's cleared before the next spin. This lets value accumulate on the board over several spins rather than resetting each time, often resulting in larger combined values by the time a payline finally connects.

Landing additional FS symbols during the feature extends it: 2 simultaneous FS symbols award 2 extra spins, and 3 simultaneous FS symbols award 4 extra spins.

Strike Gold Bonus Rules

Landing 4 FS symbols simultaneously triggers Strike Gold, also awarding 10 free spins. Here, every winning Multi-Dough payline lights a bulb above each reel that contributed to the win — one bulb per Multi-Dough symbol on that reel involved in the win, up to four lit bulbs at a time. When a Donny's Hat symbol lands anywhere on the grid, it triggers a re-spin: on each reel with lit bulbs, a number of new Multi-Dough symbols equal to the lit bulb count appears at random positions, potentially creating further payline wins. Crucially, a Donny's Hat is guaranteed to land on the final spin of the feature, so every Strike Gold round ends with at least one chance to convert accumulated light bulbs into fresh value.

Extra FS symbols during the feature extend it using the same rule as Sticky Dough: 2 simultaneous symbols add 2 spins, 3 simultaneous symbols add 4 spins.

Autoplay and Turbo Play

Autoplay runs a chosen number of rounds automatically and can be stopped at any time; advanced settings let you set a total loss limit or a single-win stop threshold in advance, which is a good habit regardless of how you normally play. Turbo Play speeds up the round animation for faster spins, though it isn't available on every operator or in every jurisdiction.

Common Beginner Mistakes

• Ignoring symbol order. The same set of Multi-Dough symbols can pay very differently depending on the left-to-right sequence — see the worked example above.
• Assuming multiplying symbols always multiply. A multiplying-type symbol landing first in a sequence is treated as adding, not multiplying — an easy detail to miss.
